FAQ

Why is a commissioned painting more expensive than a ready-made one?

Creating a custom artwork involves much more effort than a freely conceived piece.
When I work on commission, I must follow specific guidelines, interpret the client’s vision, and translate it into an image—often through multiple drafts, revisions, and ongoing feedback.
Every detail must be handled with particular care because the final result must not just resemble what the client has in mind: it must be exactly what they want.
This means more time, greater responsibility, and often reworking parts of the painting to ensure full satisfaction.
In other words, made-to-measure art demands extra precision and dedication, which are reflected in the final cost.

To date, no client has ever returned a commissioned painting.
This is because the final artwork is only shipped once the client has approved it, based on detailed previews and constant communication throughout the creative process.
Each commissioned piece is the result of a shared dialogue: I regularly update the client and tailor the work according to their feedback, ensuring that the final result truly reflects their expectations.
Since the painting is custom-made and approved before shipment, returns are not accepted. However, customer satisfaction remains my highest priority.

Each painting is photographed with the utmost care, but a 100% color match cannot be guaranteed.
Color perception may vary due to several factors: the lighting during the photo shoot, the calibration of the monitor or screen used to view the image (including tablets and smartphones, which may display colors differently depending on the model), and of course the lighting in the environment where the artwork will be displayed.
However, I guarantee the highest possible fidelity to the original piece. Upon request, I can provide additional photos taken in various lighting conditions to support your evaluation.

Yes, it may happen that you come across a painting similar to one previously sold, but never identical.
When it comes to one of my personal creations that has generated particular interest or success, I may decide to create a new version, always clearly stating that it is a variation or part of a limited series.

However, each work will remain unique: fundamental aspects such as dimensions, composition, or specific scene elements will be changed, ensuring that no two artworks can ever be mistaken for one another.

This approach has deep roots in art history. Many artists, from Monet with his Water Lilies series to Warhol with his silkscreen repetitions, created multiple similar pieces without compromising the uniqueness of each.

What matters most is transparency with collectors. Every painting will be accompanied by a certificate of uniqueness, even when it is part of the same inspiration or series.

Usually not. While it might seem like a more economical choice, purchasing an unstretched canvas often involves additional costs and risks that outweigh the potential savings.

The shipping cost for a stretched painting is generally only slightly higher. However, if you choose a rolled canvas, you’ll need to have it stretched later by a professional framer, which can be a considerable extra expense.

Moreover, an unstretched canvas is more vulnerable to damage during transport, even when carefully packed. In contrast, I ship my works using custom, secure, and lightweight packaging specifically designed to protect the artwork while already mounted.
